The River 250 Essay and Art Contest
America 250 essay and art prompt: What does America mean to you?
Thank You to Our Educators and Students
Thank you to the incredible educators and students who participated in The River 250 Essay and Art Program, which concluded Monday at 5:00 PM. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment made this program truly meaningful.
We are proud to share that 157 essays and 40 original art pieces were submitted and thoughtfully prepared for our judges. Every submission reflected care, curiosity, and a deep sense of patriotism—each one telling a story worth honoring.
Selected student artwork is now proudly on display at the Mohave County Library and the Clark County Library, allowing our broader community to experience the talent and perspective of our young participants.
To our educators: thank you for guiding, encouraging, and making space for students to explore history, civic pride, and creative expression.
To our students: your voices matter, and your work reminds us why America’s story continues to inspire new generations.
I am incredibly proud of the participation, the patriotism, and the heart expressed in every single submission. This program succeeded because of you.
